Almost a year ago, Spotify started a beta testing that welcomed independent artists to upload their music directly to Spotify. Today, Spotify has decided to close the beta testing and will be migrating independent artists off of the platform.

Here are some tips that could help with distribution as an independent artist or label:

  1. Partner with a new distribution partner.

  2. Track sales and song play after Spotify

    • You can continue to track your files and sales through utilizing the ISCR code associated with your song on Spotify. This code is only accessible until July 30, 2019. When associating your song with a new distribution company, you can also associate your ISCR code with your song.

  3. Tie the Knot with Spotify
